Linda Edna Cardellini was born in Redwood City, California, to Lorraine (Hernan) and Wayne David Cardellini, a businessman. Cinderella was her breakout part after her role in the role of the character Lady Rose MacClare, in Downton Abbey's period drama (2012-2015). James then played the role of Countess Natasha Rostova, in the version on television of War & Peace, in 2016. She also appeared in a number of films.
